On 24 June 2014, IFC organized its first Financial Inclusion Speakers Series on digital financial includsion in Yangon. The event was organized in collaboration with CGAP and LIFT and gathered together representatives from banks, mobile network operators, payment companies, donors and investors. The event featured guest speakers from bKash in Bangladesh, one of the early rapidly expanding providers of digital finance. Panel session topics included how to adapt global lessons on digital financial inclusion to Myanmar and the role of banks and MFIs in digital financial inclusion.
