Announcing a call for proposals

AGRICULTURE, MARKETS AND FOOD SYSTEMS: KACHIN AND NORTHERN SHAN 2019-2023

LIFT has invested more than six million US dollars in the agricultural sector to support better livelihoods for communities in Kachin and Northern Shan States. This call for proposals (CfP) complements the earlier Kachin and Northern Shan CfP by incorporating an agricultural component into the overall programme.

In line with LIFT strategy 2019-2023, the call is confined to the Agriculture, Markets and Food Systems (AMFS) theme and will focus on creating greater market opportunities for agricultural products, contributing to improvements in the livelihoods and food/nutrition security of rural communities and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Kachin and Northern Shan States, as Myanmar is facing increasing climate variability and change. The proposed activities should start no later than March 2020 and end before April 2023.

To support the long-term sustainability of LIFT programme results, LIFT strongly encourages proposals from and/or implemented in partnership with civil society, the private sector and Government line agencies in Kachin and Northern Shan State.

Please see the Call for Proposals document here. The call is also available on the UNGM website here.
