Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank increased its loan size per acre to Kyat 50,000 from 2012 monsoon agriculture season. Farmers can take out a loan for Kyat 500,000 (max) for 10 acres. The MADB said that the increased loan size will be available in townships were repayment rates have been 100%. Not sure how many township have 100% rate. In 2011 the loan size was Kyat 40,000 and in 2010, Kyat 20,000. Source: DVB News
