Italy was a LIFT donor that contributed a total of USD852,000.
Since the activation of its Development Cooperation Programme in 2011, Italy aims at facilitating Myanmar’s opening and enhancing capacity and institution building, with the objective of assisting relevant institutions in designing and implementing inclusive social and economic development strategies.
The Italian Development Cooperation joined LIFT to take part in a common effort to improve the lives of people in rural Myanmar through promotion of actions aimed at supporting livelihood and food security. One of The Italian Development Cooperation strategy’s main priorities in LIFT programming was rural development.
