Denmark was a LIFT donor that contributed a total of USD9,992,000.
Support to LIFT aligned with several of Denmark’s policy objectives, including a strong poverty alleviation focus for marginalised and vulnerable rural people. Denmark’s contribution was aimed at assisting long-term development for livelihoods in the poorest areas of Myanmar through increasing food availability, income generation opportunities and food use. More specifically, it worked to enable farmers to cultivate larger areas and yield better harvests, resulting in increased income for many households and villages across the country.
