Chin State agricultural systems are changing radically; Households are moving towards a cash oriented economy based on vegetables and perennials, while rice is becoming the key staple crop as in the rest of Myanmar. Also, the development of irrigation and concentration of settlements is creating an increasing pressure on water resources. This report discusses best practices and searches for lasting solutions.
