On 13 August 2014, LIFT hosted the “Transforming NGO Microfinance” talk - the first in a series of knowledge sharing sessions on topics of financial inclusion. The discussion centred around if, when, and how local microfinance institutions should transform into private companies. The event included a keynote speech given by Hannes Manndorff, Head of Global Business Development at Accion as well as a panel discussion that included Manndorff, Neal Younquist from World Vision and Phyu Yamin Myat from Myanmar Development Partners.
