Director-General of Water Resources Utilization Department (WRUD) U Kyi Htut Win received representatives from ADRA, IDE and NAG, NGO partners of Livelihoods and Food Security Trust Fund/ United Nations Office for Project Services (LIFT/UNOPS), to discuss matters related to data collection from existing pump irrigation projects for upgrading them with the aim of boosting crop production and enhancement of socio-economic conditions of local people at the meeting hall of State Pariyatti Sasana University at Kabaraye Hill, here, this afternoon.
It was learnt that the projects in dry zone to be visited by the NGOs were divided into three groups: Shwehlanbo project of Mandalay Region, Pyawt-ywar, Kyweeyike and Satpakone projects of Sagaing Region for IDE; Lawkanandar and Letpanchepaw projects of Mandalay Region, and None-poe project of Magway Region for ADRA; and Thaphanseik, Kanni and Myinkin projects of Magway Region for NAG.
