Announcing a call for proposals: Technical Capacity Building for Nutrition Programming

LIFT is seeking qualified organisations to implement a project that provides technical support to LIFT Implementing Partners (IPs) to improve the quality of effective nutrition programming, guided by the LIFT Strategy 2019-2023.

The project will cooperate with LIFT and Access to Health, both working on nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific interventions that support the Government of Myanmar’s nutrition policy agenda. Under the new phase of LIFT and Access to Health, both funds are shifting their focus to conflict-affected areas (Rakhine, Mon, Thanitharyi, Kayin, Kayah and Kachin/Northern Shan) and inclusion and social cohesion, with  internally displaced people (IDPs) and returnees as key beneficiaries. These shifts are leading to collaboration with new partners, including Ethnic Service Providers and CSOs to support the delivery of nutrition services to reach the most vulnerable communities.

The joint initiative will provide technical capacity building support to these new partners, reflecting the new phase and supporting collaborative approaches in delivering the specific nutrition-sensitive  interventions needed to have an impact on the nutrition outcomes.

The proposals should strongly demonstrate the technical expertise required for  the key components of the call – provision of technical capacity building, partnership with Government departments and ethnic service providers, facilitation of a common technical approach, support to LIFT and Access to Health management offices and implementing partners, and the development of a technical strategy for sustainability.
